Team Approach to Care

Treatment at the Cancer Center is organized around diagnosis-specific health care teams that include bone marrow transplant, cancer genetics, hematology, late effects, leukemia/lymphoma, neuro-oncology, pharmacology and solid tumors.

This team approach means that patients benefit from the combined talents and expertise of senior physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, child life specialists and other specially trained staff. Patients are seen by the same caregivers on an ongoing basis to provide continuity of care, familiarity, and trust.
